ABOUT THE INSTITUTE:
National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is located in Odisha, India. It is a government deemed University of technical education. It stands in the 2nd place among NITs and has been ranked 26th among Indian Universities by the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021. The institute offers BTech and BArch in undergraduate courses and MTech, MBA and PhD under postgraduate courses.
Eden’s Garden:
Being situated at the conjugation of the hills of Rourkela, the very second you step into the institute, you will be caught in the euphoria of the moment. It is peaceful, fresh crisp oxygen, perfectly tall trees, luscious green hills around the campus, a beautiful lake behind the academic block and some cool breeze just like the different pieces of a perfect puzzle are put together.
The Hostels:
There are a total of 10 hostels of residence 2 for girls, 8 for boys and 1 for married students. Despite the nationality, everyone has to stay in the same hostels. The rooms have cupboards and can accommodate 1-4 students depending on its size and one’s year of study. Due to the increase in the number of students every year these rooms can only suffice to one's needs and are not “lavish”.
Guest House:
There are two guest houses, namely North Block and South Block.
A student can apply requesting for the allotment of these rooms for their family members to stay there. Students, professors or visitors can pay and eat in either of these if they’d like to (the food in south block is my favourite). The rooms can be booked through the student’s Facad (we’ll discuss them later).
Woah,that's very informative
Amazing write-up! 🤩 Eagerly waiting for the next part🤩
